Ritz Carlton: Super Brunch 2011

I went for Ritz Carlton's super brunch awhile ago. The event used to be called the brunch 78. For all food lovers, be in for a treat!

Why is it previously called Brunch 78?
The buffet is spread over 78-meters! (succulent seafood, cold cuts, roasts, International & Asian favourites, cheese and desserts). Free flow of Moet and Chandon champagne.

Apart from the resident chef, guest chef is Chef Andrea Berton, Chef and Director of Il Ristorante Trussardi Alla Scala.

Chef Andrea Berton has received prestigious official recognition for his achievements; in 2007, Il Ristorante Trussardi Alla Scala, was named best new restaurant of the year by the L'Espresso guide to Italian restaurants, and earned its first Michelin star in 2008, followed by a two-star rating in 2009.


And this buffet is held twice a year at Ritz Carlton. Next one likely to in October but not sure on exact dates yet!

This pratically sum up the food in section 1. There are total of 3 big sections. It's one of the biggest buffet i've ever visited. Choosing which food to start with is really a headache. I want to try every single thing!

Section 2 was abit smaller, but it serves japanese food! Anything you want, they will prepare it for you. I wonder if the emperors of the past have their dinner like that everyday.

This is section 3. Probably the section i love most. It's seafood and more seafood around. Once a wise man said: the freshest seafood didn't actually come from the sea, they came from Ritz Carlton. Ok, that wise man was me. Other than seafood, there's other yummy food like hmm.. all of the above.

This is the humble table we sat. I was invited by Leo(left) to this brunch together with his friend Daryl(right). Million thanks! The whole buffet was not overcrowded with people given it's scale, I guessed it was exclusive. It lasted from 12pm till 3pm. I ate almost everything i wanted to try. Didn't dare to take much food at one time though, cause there's more waiting for me. And the distance to walk back to my table was, to be honest, DAMN FAR. Taking too much food can be embarassing too.. Lol

  2. They are desserts too.. It's like some sort of chocolate inside it.. I used the vivid colour mode on most of the food to bring out the colours. And miniature mode on food shot to get a nicer focus. The food pictures turned out awesome!
